tadahyima mina-san!
that means 'i'm home everyone' in jap.
hahas~ first and foremost..
belated merry christmas to all.
belated happy birthday to dena!
and happy birthday to rachel!
thanks to those who wished me. xD appreciate it.
well then, landed in sg ard 5plus just now.
about the time i officially turn 16. =DD
woohoo, nc16 movies, here i come!
first up is AvP2 next year. woot.
hahas.. okays, so on to adelaide...
pics will be here and there, and as usual,
mostly scenery. hahas.
and it's not alot. all these pics were taken from my handphone.
it will take aeons if i were to upload the pics from my mum's cam.
so please understand, its not extensive. heh. ><
and i apologize beforehand for the lack of souvenirs.
all the shops and stuff were closed, it being so close to the x'mas season...
so it was rather hard to get souvenirs... sorry!
-----
firstly from sg. night flight.
took off close to midnight, reached abt 9plus, adelaide time.
that's about 2 and a half hours more.
watched 881, the hokkien 'flavour' added to the movie was hilarious.
but otherwise it was an nsight to the getai scene of sg, of which i'm not that familiar with..
the rest of the time was spent drifting in and out of consciousness, while listening to leehom's 改变自己, and mayday's Jump! albums.
i like leehom's album! anyone can lend me if you have?? thanks. =D
the city tour immediately started after we landed.
not very smart though, everyone's shagged by the flight.
the weather there is quite nice though..
the first 2 days we reached there was breezy. extremely.
i underestimated the weather, that is i left my jacket in the luggage.
thought my long-sleeved shirt would be sufficient. NOT!
the wind was uber chilly. barely survived. lols.
but otherwise was quite nice. =D

st. something church. of the earliest churches built when adelaide was first founded.
many many churches in adelaide too..

mt. lofty. kinda like the highest point in adelaide.

and thus the first day passed. went back to the city earlier.
everyone needed the rest anyways. hahas.
oh~ and the sky only starts turning dark after like 8plus.
and it darkens very rapidly. yea.
-----
2nd day was packed.
mainly was travelling down to victor harbour.

this is one of the many towns in adelaide which we stopped by for lunch, on the way to victor harbour.
Victor Harbour itself was just a small little town, by the sea.
a rather quiet town, or maybe it was due to the x'mas season bah. >.<
after which we went to a wildlife park.
mostly kangaroos and stuff. birds etc etc.

whadaya looking at mate.. i'm hungry! =P

after which, back to town..
we were going over to neighbouring island- Granite Island, for the fairy penguins parade.
it was quite a ways to reach the island, so we had a rather unique form of transportation-

a horse tram!

just about sunset... beautiful aint it.
the coldest night for my stay in adelaide.
the main attraction for Granite Island was actually the fairy penguins.
but they only came in at night, and that rendered my phone cam useless, even in night mode.
they are smallest penguins in the world.. just imagine a regular penguin.
but downsized. really downsized. i think its just about the length of the forearm.
but horizontal-wise was rather wide. xD
-----
the 3rd day was uber slack.
coz' it was christmas!

the shops were closed.. nothing to do.
it was just travelling from victor harbour back to the city, and F&E for the rest of the day.
well, we played tennis at the hotel's tennis court on the 3rd floor.
and i whacked one ball down to the streets. oops.
and i learnt how to play bridge too! yay! although i still suck at it...
the guide dropped by a beach for us to take some pics though..

by the 3rd day the weather turned 180degrees.
it suddenly became uber hot. lucky the wind didnt immediately disappear as well.
but look the gloriously blue sky. it sure was B-E-A-utiful. =))
well, after dinner that night, we took a walk around our hotel-

ah crap, the name's covered by the damn pole.
we stayed at the Hilton Adelaide. the breakfast there is delicious. =P

and christmas day passed just like that..
h'mm.. hope everyone else had a better x'mas than me.. heh.
-----
4th day. Barossa!
it was another of the small towns.
so our first stop was a dam. but the funny thing abt that dam was that it had surprising acoustic properties.

the dam's about 36m deep. very deep...

see the curved structure of the dam?
you can whisper at one end, and someone else at the end can here you. crsytal clear.
what the story was that, during the actual construction, the workers were at one end, badmouthing the boss.
the boss was on the other end, and he heard it.
so those workers were fired.
how true is it.. i'm not sure. =P
hence it's other name, The Whispering Wall. kewl eh?
our 2nd stop was a lavender farm.
the aroma of lavender can reduce pain perception, soothe and relax, and even improve your mental acuteness.
or so they say. heh. 自卖自夸, you also dno, cannot say anything rite? =DD
its not really the season for their blooming, so there wasn't much to see.
but the lavender-flavoured cookies and tea was quite refreshing.

the last 2 stops were wineries.
the first one didnt enforce any age restrictions, so i could drink. wahaha!
not the first time though. =P
i found out that i prefer white wine over red wine. the taste is better, not as strong as red bahh..

the 2nd one enforced it, so no tasting. T_T
but that winery was also half a museum. loads of artistic pieces from differents ages.
and a 14-hectare area of rose bushes, if my memory does not fail me.
pity the roses are not in bloom..

the only one i saw, and its pretty sad.
i didnt walk the entire garden though.. my cousins did.
but they said there wasn't much to look at either.. heh.
-----
today wasn't much. they woke up earlier than usual to walk through the market.
1st time, since it was already closed for their 'x'mas vaction' when we arrived.
they had this sausage that was like as long as the whole arm can! ssscccccaaarrryyy.. heh.
anwyays, 10plus, went to the airport..
departed at 1.05pm.
watched high school musical 2. nicee. xD
and transformers again. starscream's still the coolest of them all. woot!
-----
well there~ thats all of it. damn long post.
took me damn long too. the longest i ever took to blog.
close to an hour.. wth..
wahaha.
funny thing, all the messages sent to me during my trip just got through. like now.
h'mm... sorry for all the late replies. xD
okays.. thats about it for now. i'm uber shagged.
the area around my mouth and nose is so damn dry.
and all the meat and stuff from the trip.... gotta work it off.
hahas! 5 more days till the next phase of my school life.
woot..!
so then.. niteZ! big big Z.
HAHA!
